2 Dead In 2 Crashes Thursday Afternoon

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Two people are dead in two separate fatal car crashes late Thursday afternoon.

A 44-year-old Excelsior, Minnesota, man died in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 29 in Swift County. The time of the crash was around 3:40 p.m.

Less than a half hour later, a broadside crash in Blue Earth County claimed the life of a 17-year-old New Ulm driver. The driver of the other car, a 71-year-old man from Madison Lake, and his 63-year-old wife suffered non-life threatening injuries. The vehicles collided on southbound Highway 169.
