2 Central H.S. Seniors Die On Same Day In Separate Incidents

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Students and staff at Central High School in St. Paul are mourning the loss of two senior students who passed away Wednesday evening in separate incidents.

According to Central High School principal Mary Mackbee, the two seniors both passed away Wednesday evening.

One senior had been hospitalized and died after the hospitalization. The other student passed away after experiencing a medical emergency at a fitness center, Mackbee wrote in a letter to parents.

Mackbee said both students were seniors and very active at the school.

She said that since the death of another student at the school earlier this month, hallways had been somber already even before Friday.

The school is offering a crisis support team and counseling services to any student who may need it, including the services of therapy dogs. Any students that are having a difficult time are encouraged to call 651-744-4900.

The names of the students have not been released.
