2 Arrested In St. Paul Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two men have been arrested in a homicide on Van Buren Avenue in St. Paul Sunday, according to St. Paul Police.

On Monday, police announced via Twitter that 21-year-old Damonte Ivory Jones of St. Paul and 24-year-old Lee Vester PaulDrake Rhodes of Bloomington are in custody in connection to the homicide.

On Sunday morning at around 2 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of Van Buren Avenue on the report of an assault. When they arrived, they found a man dead and another man injured.

St. Paul Police later identified the deceased victim as 32-year-old Prince Miles Pope of St. Paul.

The second victim, 27-year-old Rico Jackson of St. Paul, was stabbed and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The death marks the City's second murder case of the year.
