2 Arrested In Bomb Threat Hoax At Park Rapids High School

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two young people were arrested in connection with a bomb threat that left Park Rapids Area High School evacuated and searched Monday morning.

According to the Park Rapids Police Department, school officials called police at 7:39 a.m. after they discovered a voice message of the bomb threat at the school. Law enforcement responded to the scene, as incoming buses were re-reouted to Century School and the Park Rapids Area High School was evacuated and locked down.

Police say officers searched the entire school campus and didn't discover any suspicious items. Investigators found the number used to call in the threat and arrested two juveniles in connection with the incident.

Authorities say normal classes resumed at 9:53 a.m. at Park Rapids Area High School.
