1st Grader Writes Vikings' Patterson, So He Visits School

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Ask and you shall receive -- or more accurately, ask and you shall receive a wide receiver.

A first grader at Rice Lake Elementary School in Maple Grove, Minn. recently wrote a letter to Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson, asking if he would come to her school.

"I watched you play last year. I loved your cleats last year and how you make touchdowns," Nevaeh wrote to Patterson. "Would you be able to come to our school? I would like you to teach us how to play football at recess and have lunch with us."

The letter was part of a class project.

On Tuesday, Nevaeh and her classmates got a big surprise when Patterson showed up to say hi.
