Wis. State Patrol: 18-Year-Old Arrested For OWI With Child In Car

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials arrested an 18-year-old Wisconsin man Saturday for operating a vehicle under the influence with a minor in the car.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Tyler T. Fuhrer was arrested by Wisconsin State Patrol just after noon for operating a motor vehicle under the influence with a child in the car who is under 16.

State Patrol stopped Fuhrer for speeding. WisDOT said officers observed indications of controlled substance use, and after searching the vehicle found controlled substances.

Fuhrer is being held in the Eau Claire County Jail. The child's exact age has not been released.
