16-Year-Old Arrested In Fatal Fight In St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Police say they've arrested a 16-year-old and recovered a knife after a fatal fight in St. Cloud.

A police statement says the suspect and three other males were walking by a residence near the intersection of 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue south when a verbal exchange led to a physical fight in the street. Twenty-year-old Davee Moshea Devose, of St. Cloud, was stabbed once in the chest. He died at the scene.

The statement says the suspect fled, but police detained him in an alley a few blocks away. It says he later confessed to stabbing the victim.

Police say the recovered the knife they believe was used in the stabbing about a half-block from the scene.

The suspect is being held pending charges that could include second-degree murder.
