15,000 People Still Without Power Due To Storms

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – About 30,000 people in Minnesota and Wisconsin were without power Friday evening due to severe thunderstorms, according to Xcel Energy.

Heavy storms hit southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin beginning Friday afternoon. Though the storms initially left 30,000 without power, Xcel says crews have restored power to 15,000 customers.

Xcel said they have over 150 crew members working on the outages. They do not have an estimate of when power will be restored to the remaining customers.
