10-Foot Giant Guitar Playable Only By The Very Tall

Learning how to play a guitar is hard enough, but what if the guitar was twice the size of you.

Paul Danelski is showing off the giant, 10-foot-tall acoustic guitar he built until 8 p.m. Saturday at Joe Senser's in Bloomington.

Danelski says it does play, but you have to be big enough.

"The artist is Steve Driskell--he's a local artist--and he did the airbrush work of Jimmy Buffet," Danelski said. "So it's not a painting, a picture or a print; it's actually an airbrush picture."

It took him and his friends about 1,200 hours to make.

The guitar will be donated to Jimmy Buffett and will be placed at the Margaritaville Resort and Casino in Bossier City, La., later this month.
