10 Displaced By Duplex Fire In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said as many as 10 people have been displaced after a fire at a duplex in St. Paul Monday night.

Crews were called to the 600 block of Snelling Avenue, near Thomas Avenue, at about 11:30 p.m. on a report of a fire. When firefighters arrived, they were able to put the fire out and nobody was inside the residence.

Witnesses at the scene said as many as 10 people lived inside the duplex, six in the downstairs portion of the unit and four upstairs. The four are college students at Hamline University. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire, and authorities said the cause is under investigation.
