1 Killed, 7 Hurt In 2-Vehicle Crash In Sherburne County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 54-year-old man was killed and two others seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Sherburne County Tuesday evening.

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened at about 8 p.m. in Becker, Minnesota. A Ford F150 driving along Highway 10 ran a red light, investigators said, and crashed into a Dodge Caravan traveling along County Road 11.

In all, there were four people in each vehicle. The driver of the Dodge Caravan, identified as Charles Maurer of Becker, was killed in the crash.

One passenger from each vehicle was listed as seriously injured. Two people were taken to North Memorial Medical Center by air. The rest were taken to area hospitals by ground.
