1 Killed, 1 Injured In Coon Rapids Car Crash

COON RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say an 84-year-old Anoka woman was killed and another driver was injured after a three-vehicle crash in Coon Rapids.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened Thursday afternoon on Coon Rapids Boulevard. Authorities say the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee made a left turn onto Coon Rapids Boulevard and immediately merged into the right lane, clipping a Mercury Cougar that was driven by 84-year-old Donna Mae Youso.

The impact sent Youso's car over the center median and into oncoming traffic, where it crashed into a minivan.

Youso was killed in the crash.

The minivan's driver suffered serious injuries that aren't considered life-threatening. The driver of the Jeep wasn't injured.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
