1 Injured When Moose Collides With Car On Iron Range

KEEWATIN, Minn. (AP) — One person is injured and a moose is dead after the animal collided with a car on Minnesota's Iron Range.

The crash happened early Saturday on Highway 169 in Keewatin.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Ford Fusion was eastbound on the highway when a moose came out of the ditch in front of the car. The moose caused extensive damage to the car and died at the scene.

The 28-year-old driver of the car wasn't injured. A 28-year-old passenger was hurt, but her injuries are not life-threatening.
