1 Injured In St. Paul Garage Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is recovering after suffering serious burns in a garage fire in St. Paul overnight.

According to the St. Paul Fire Department, around 12:30 a.m. crews responded to a call of a garage fire in the 500 block of Cleveland Avenue.

Upon arrival, a man was driving a truck out of one of the stalls, the front of which was on fire.

Officials believe the man was working on the truck when it caught fire. The fire then spread quickly to the walls and roof.

The man suffered second degree burns on his hands and arms.

Most of the damage was contained to two of the five garage stalls. The other three units sustained smoke damage.

Aside from a blind cleaning business it's unclear what other businesses are in the building.
