1 Injured In N. Mpls. Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is in the hospital after a shooting in north Minneapolis Sunday afternoon.

According to authorities, police responded to call of shots being fired in the 3100 block of Emerson Avenue.

Two adult brothers were fighting when a third man drove up.

The driver got involved in the fight between the brothers and fired shots.

Officials say the driver fled in the vehicle.

The mother of the brothers was hit in the chest during the shooting.

She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she is in life threatening condition.

Police said the man who drove up did not appear to know the men fighting.

The incident is currently under investigation.
