1 Hospitalized After Belle Plaine Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is in the hospital after firefighters pulled him from a burning home in Belle Plaine Thursday morning.

Firefighters said that same man called them around 1:30 a.m. to say his house was on fire.

They found him unconscious upstairs in a bedroom when they got there.

He is expected to be OK.

It took about 20 fire trucks full of water to put out the fire because there weren't any fire hydrants nearby.

The cold weather also made it harder to put out the fire.

There has been no word on how the fired started.
