Man Killed In St. Paul Shooting ID'd; Suspect On The Loose

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead after a shooting in St. Paul late Wednesday night.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, at 10:20 p.m. officers responded to a call of a shooting at the intersection of Cypress Street and Reaney Avenue.

Upon arrival, police found one man had been shot. He died as a result of the gunshot injuries. His identity was confirmed by police as 37-year-old Synika George James of St. Paul.

No one is in custody at this time.

According to police, this shooting happened at the same time as a nearby vigil, which marked three years since a gang-related shooting.
