1 Dead In North Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One man is dead after a shooting in north Minneapolis Friday evening.

Police say they responded to a report of gunshots near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and North 34th Avenue at around 9:00 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found Darrell Williams Jr., 25, dead in the street.

Investigators interviewed a number of witnesses and others in the area who said the suspect fled on foot prior to the officers' arrival. They do not believe it was a random incident, but haven't arrested anyone so far.
