1 Dead In Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 17-year-old is dead after a shooting in Minneapolis Monday night.

According to police, around 10:45 p.m. officers were alerted of a shooting in the 2200 block of 13th Avenue South from the shot spotter system.

Upon arrival, police found Maurice Orlando Brown, lying in the street. According to the medical report, he died of gunshot wounds.

Officers searched the area and interviewed a number of people on the scene, but made no arrests.

Further investigation of the scene showed some vehicles in the area had been damaged by gunshots.

According to police, they set up a perimeter in the neighborhood and blocked access while they investigated.

At this time no arrests have been made.
