1 Dead In Douglas County After Car Tumbles Across 2 Roads

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One man is dead after his car rolled off the road in Douglas County early Friday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 28-year-old Rhett Peters of Hutchinson was driving on Highway 29 just over the border between Douglas and Pope Counties when his 2000 Ford Explorer car rounded a curve and toppled over.

Police say the car tumbled all the way off the road, across S. Maple Lake Road and back onto Highway 29 where it finally came to a stop.

Rhett was ejected from the car in the rollover, and was pronounced dead on the scene when first responders arrived.
