1 Dead Following Overnight Shooting In Columbia Heights

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Columbia Heights say they're looking for multiple persons of interest following an overnight shooting that left one person dead.

The shooting happened just before midnight Saturday at a home on the 1200 block of Circle Terrace. Police say there was a gathering at the residence and that multiple shots were fired.

Before officers arrived at the scene, several people – including at least one victim – had left the home.

The victim, a 20-year-old man from Minneapolis whose name was not released, was brought by acquaintances to Unity Hospital.

He was then transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he later died.

Police say they are searching for multiple persons of interest in connection to the shooting, which remains under investigation.

No one is currently in custody.
