Investigators did not say if the two knew each other or what may have happened.

Barbara Brown from South Washington County Schools says Frigaard was a "highly-respected teacher" at Park High since 1999. He was also a teacher for an at-risk program, an assistant football coach, a coach for girls track and middle school football and basketball.

"Dave was a respected and valuable member of our staff. He was a talented teacher that enjoyed providing opportunities for students to display their artwork, both at Park and in the greater community," Park High School Principal Kerry Timmerman said. "Our condolences are extended to his family during this difficult time."

The Washington County Sheriff's office is investigating.
