1 Dead After Police-Involved Incident In Bloomington

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead after an officer-involved incident occurred in Bloomington overnight.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Bloomington police received a call around 11:13 p.m. Thursday of a report of a suicidal person on the 9900 block of Briar Road.

Upon arrival, police encountered an armed, white male outside of the residence.

Police said the scene moved into the 5800 block of West 99th Street, where shots were fired.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

No officers were injured during the incident.

The shooting is currently under investigation by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
