1 Dead, 3 Injured In Pierce Co. Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An Iowa woman is dead after a crash in Pierce County Friday morning.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, at 9:17 a.m. officers were notified of a crash involving two vehicles on Highway 63, just south of the Highway 29 intersection in Martell Township.

Upon arrival officers learned that a southbound 2003 Ford Taurus station wagon had crossed over the center line and struck a northbound Honda Accord head on.

Police said the driver of the Taurus was 42-year-old Michelle Green and her passenger was 42-year-old Jeremiah Degraw, both from Hazelton, Iowa.

The Honda was driven by 66-year-old Dennis Rogers and his passenger was 64-year-old Kathleen Rogers, both from Red Wing.

Police said Green was taken to Baldwin Hospital, then transferred to Regions Hospital where she later died.

Degraw and both of the Rogers were also taken to Baldwin Hospital with undetermined injuries.
