1 Dead, 2 Seriously Injured In Wisconsin Rollover

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in western Wisconsin say a rollover crash Saturday on Interstate 94 left a driver dead and his two passengers seriously injured.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 94 near Baldwin.

A Chevrolet Silverado was reportedly driving erratically before rear-ending another SUV, veering off-road and rolling over.

The driver of the Silverado, 22-year-old Michael Doering of New Richmond, Wisconsin, was thrown from the vehicle. He died at the scene.

The two passengers in the Silverado – 23-year-old Mahriyah Mckenzie of Clear Lake, Wisconsin and 24-year-old Lucas Pitzen of New Richmond, Wisconsin – suffered serious injuries. Emergency crews brought both to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for treatment.

The patrol says all three in the Silverado had been drinking.

No one in the other SUV was hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
