1 Dead, 1 Injured In S. Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead and another is critically injured after a shooting in Minneapolis early Monday morning.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, around 2 a.m. officers on a routine patrol heard a series of gunshots in the 2800 block of South 15th Avenue.

Upon arrival, police found a parked car with a man and woman inside, both appeared to have been shot.

The woman, who appeared to be the passenger in the car, was critically injured and was taken the Hennepin County Medical Center.

The man, who appeared to be the driver, was declared dead on the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

Police said the suspect was gone upon their arrival.
