1 Dead, 1 Injured In Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Minneapolis early Thursday morning.

According to Minneapolis police, around 2:40 a.m. officers received a call of shots fired in the 2300 block of Thomas Avenue North.

Upon arrival, police found two people with gunshot wounds.

Police said one man died from his wounds. The other was taken to North Memorial Medical Center where he is undergoing surgery. The extent of his injuries is unknown, but he is expected to survive.

According to police, officers believe the shooting started over a disagreement and that the men knew each other.

They do not know if anyone else is involved.

No one is in custody at this point. Police are continuing to investigate.
