1 Dead, 1 In Custody In Cook Co. Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is dead after a shooting at a popular resort on Minnesota's North Shore Wednesday.

According to the Cook County Sheriff, the shooting took place early Wednesday morning outside Bluefin Bay Resort in Tofte, Minn.

Witnesses said they saw Kirk Bigby, 61, shoot a 31-year-old man outside the restaurant at the Bluefin Bay Resort.

Cook County sheriff's officials said people were attending a holiday party at the resort.

Several of them stepped outside and saw the shooting.

The victim has not yet been identified.

Bigby is currently in custody.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating.
