1 Child, School Bus Driver Injured In Hibbing Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A school bus driver and a child were injured when a sedan crashed into their bus Tuesday morning in Hibbing.

The crash happened just after 7 a.m. on Highway 5 near Townline Road, according to the Hibbing Fire Department.

A sedan with one occupant struck the driver's side of the bus, causing both vehicles to slide into a ditch.

Fifteen kids were on the bus. The driver and one child were taken to WMCM Hibbing with minor injuries.

The woman driving the sedan was not injured.

The Hibbing Fire Department says the bus driver did a good job of keeping his passengers safe, but they want to remind children of the importance of remaining in their seats while on a bus.
