1 Arrested In Minn. State Fair Armed Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota State Fair officials say one person is in custody in connection with the armed robbery that occurred at the fair on Aug. 29.

Officials announced the apprehension Wednesday, saying the gun allegedly used in the robbery was also recovered. The suspect's identity is not released at this time.

State Fair Police say thieves got away with more than $10,000 in cash from the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild exhibit. At least 10 minutes passed before the tied-up victims were discovered, and officers were notified.

The Minnesota State Fair is working in collaboration with the St. Paul Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
