1 Arrested After Shots Fired At North Branch Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is in custody after a shooting in a North Branch home Thursday evening.

Nicolas Goulette, 48, was charged with felony reckless discharge of a firearm.

According to the North Branch Police Department, around 6:15 p.m. officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired in a residence in the 38200 block of Timber Lane.

Upon arrival, officers secured the area and got a number of residents from the immediate area to safety.

The suspect, Goulette, was inside the home. Officers asked for help from the Chisago County SWAT Team and the Chisago County Crises Negotiation Team.

Eventually, Goulette surrendered peacefully. He was charged and taken into custody.

Goulette is currently being held at the Chisago County Jail. The incident is still under investigation.
