Woman Hit And Killed On I-94 In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A St. Cloud woman is dead after being hit by a car on interstate 94 in Minneapolis early Saturday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a car pulled over on the right shoulder of the interstate at about 12:15 a.m. near Nicollet Avenue.

Shawna Anthony, 35, then got out and walked into the lanes of traffic.

She was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado truck in the right center lane.

The driver of the Silverado, 31-year-old Nicholas Pederson of Lakeville, was not injured.

The state patrol is investigating, and says alcohol was detected on the victim.
