Thursday is Day 8 at the Minnesota State Fair!
It's also Seniors Day. Fairgoers 65 and older get in for $12 at the gate. It's also UCare Stretch & Stroll Day at Dan Patch Park from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring live, music, senior fitness programs and fall prevention lessons.
You can also check out the Agrilympics Celebrity Butter Carving Contest at 12:20 p.m. at the Moo Stage outside of the Cattle Barn, where celebs will attempt to create a masterpiece from a one-pound block of butter.

Music at the Fair
Thursday night at the Grandstand is REO Speedwagon and Styx, with special guest Levon. Tickets range from $41 to $51, and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Wednesday's attendance was lowest so far this year
Wednesday's attendance at the State Fair marked the lowest tally so far this year, with 111,861 admissions, according to the fair.
While crowds are robust compared to last year, no daily records have yet been broken. The Wednesday record was set in 2018, when 144,940 admissions were logged.
As of now, there have been 939,046 admissions to the 2022 fair, with each day tracking above what the figures were in 2021. Last year's Wednesday attendance was 88,027. Also, last year saw six days that didn't reach six-figure attendance figures, whereas this year hasn't seen one day below 100,000.
