MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A little tiger cub and his first-time mom made their tag-team Zoo Miami debut Friday.

Satu, the highly endangered Sumatran tiger cub, was born in November and given the chance to show off at the tiger exhibit for feedings and some play time.

The cub's mother, 4-year-old Leeloo, had been secluded in her den for over three months prior to the duo's debut.

Zoo keepers said even though Leeloo is still somewhat nervous and hesitant to actually step out onto the exhibit, she did come to the entrance door with her cub – giving a glimpse to the public.

Satu did venture out onto the exhibit several times but never too far from the watchful eye of his mother who remained in the hallway of the night house while regularly looking out into the exhibit from the access door.

The two tigers were given access to the exhibit for about an hour today so that they could slowly adjust to the new surroundings together.

If you want to see Satu and Leeloo, Zoo staff will be giving access to mother and cub on a daily basis at approximately 1:30 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes.
