Yankee Candle Recalls 30K Candles Due To Glass Hazard

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Yankee Candle is recalling 31,000 candles because the glass jars can crack and break.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that the Luminous Collection candles sold in the U.S. and about 300 sold in Canada have been recalled.

There have been 16 reported incidents in which jars have broken, but no one has been injured so far according to the company.

The candles were sold for about $35 from September to November.

The square glass candles contain a fragrant wax with three wicks. The item number is printed on the bottom of glass candle jar. The recalled candles are approximately 4 inches wide by 5 inches high.

Consumers can return candles to stores for a full refund PLUS another free candle.
