Women Walk To Promote Breastfeeding In Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Local women are taking to the streets of Miami to promote breastfeeding in South Florida.

The annual walk, sponsored by the Department of Health, is part of National Breastfeeding month.

According to the department, the goal is to promote breastfeeding as a vital health activity and encourage breastfeeding-friendly hospitals, child care facilities, workplaces, and communities.

Those participating are set to meet at Women's Park located at 10251 W. Flagler Street. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m.
