Woman Sought In Two Miami Beach Hotel Spa Thefts

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) - Miami beach police police are looking for a woman the suspect was responsible for thefts at two resort spas.

Surveillance video shows the woman entering the Eden Roc Miami Beach on July 25th before making her way to the spa. That same day a spa patron reported her belongings had been stolen.

Last Wednesday, police believe the same woman struck again at the Faena Hotel where a guest said $50,000 in jewelry and cash were taken from her locker inside the spa.

A hotel employee said the woman behind the theft used a fake name to make a spa appointment. The woman paid with three separate Visa gift cards which she got back when she left before her spa service.

A security guard said the woman has a history of thefts from the hotel. He said she was inside the locker room when the guest put her belongings inside the locker and then left, leaving the suspected thief inside the locker room alone.
