Woman hospitalized following shooting on I-595 in Davie

FORT LAUDERDALE — An investigation is underway after a woman was taken to the hospital following a shooting on Interstate 595 in Davie on Friday night.

Around 7:50 p.m., Davie Fire Rescue was called out to the reported shooting on westbound I-595 just east of Hiatus Road.

The agency told CBS News Miami that a woman was taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert victim but did not specify the condition she was in nor the injuries she sustained.
