Woman Shot By Boyfriend Inside Salon Dies Days Later

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A woman, shot by her boyfriend while on the job at a hair salon Saturday, died Tuesday.

Aquilina Nino Garcia, 51, around 4:43 p.m. was shot at 8315 West Flagler Street on Saturday. Her boyfriend, 32-year-old Serguey Linares, shot Garcia before turning the gun on himself, according to police.

Linares died on the scene of the apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Garcia was transported to Kendall Trauma in critical condition where she was treated for her injuries but died Tuesday of her injuries.

Garcia has a son who in his early 20s.
