FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A Plantation woman was arrested after leaving three children alone at a McDonalds restaurant for about two hours.

On Wednesday, Johane Vilsaint stopped by the McDonalds at 7600 NW 57th Street in Tamarac around 11:30 a.m. With her were three children she was looking after, ages 8, 6 and 4.

A while later, the restaurants assistant manager noticed the child playing in the indoor playground and Vilsaint was nowhere to be found. The assistant manager found a phone number Vilsaint left with children and called it, but there was no answer.

They then called the police.

When a Broward Sheriff's deputy arrived, he also tried calling the number left by Vilsaint, 24, with the same result - no answer.

Forty minutes later, Vilsaint returned to collect the kids. She told the deputy that she had gone to help a friend with her car more than two miles away and had to take a bus.

Vilsaint was taken into custody and charged with three counts of child neglect.
