MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) - A deadly accident on I-75 overnight.

It happened around 12:30 a.m.

Nicole Lund, 24, was in a Honda on the westbound exit to Miramar Parkway when she lost control on the ramp, went down the embankment and ended up in a pond. Lund, from Palm Beach Gardens, was taken to Memorial Hospital West where she was pronounced dead.

The Florida Highway Patrol said there was a lot of construction going on in the area but they do not think it contributed to the crash. However, in construction areas drivers need to pay special attention.

"Pay attention to construction signs, pay attention to speed limits, there are reduced speed limits, in construction zones you need to pay attention to reduced speeds," said FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky.

Spotty showers will move across the area during the morning commute and the FHP is urging all drivers to take care.
