MDSO deputies search for driver who hit and killed a woman near MIA

A woman was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run near Miami International Airport and investigators are asking for the public's help in finding the driver who fled the scene, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they responded to the 3400 block of NW 32nd Avenue shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.

At the scene, officers said they found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts.

The driver did not remain at the scene, deputies said.

Traffic homicide detectives are now searching for the vehicle involved, described as a white 2014–2020 four-door Cadillac Escalade with possible front-end damage.

The driver fled without rendering aid or providing any information, investigators said.
