Woman Injured In Downtown Miami Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - An investigation is underway after a woman was shot in downtown Miami.

Just before noon, officers were sent to the area of NW 12th Street and NW 2nd Avenue to check out reports of shots fired. When they arrived they found a woman in her late 20s to early 30s who appeared to have been suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

She was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she was listed as stable.

Police are now working to determine what led to the shooting.
