MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — A Pembroke Pines woman was arrested after a toddler flew out of her moving car.

It happened Tuesday morning around 8:30 a.m.

Tina Johnson, 22, was making a turn at the intersection of SW 2 Street and SW 178 Avenue when witnesses say a rear passenger door opened and a toddler in the back seat came tumbling out.

Johnson stopped, put the 16-month-old back in the car and drove off. Ultimately, she sought help for the child at a CVS store on South Palm Avenue.

Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue was contacted and they took the child to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment of what police called non-life threatening injuries.

Johnson was charged with child neglect.
