Winter Humidity Takes Over South Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – You might call this a bad-hair weekend with Caribbean humidity blossoming around South Florida.

The southeasterly breeze has ushered that Caribbean moisture into the atmosphere.

Much of the day Saturday will be partly sunny with clouds around at times.

A cold front to the north doesn't make it to South Florida, but due to its proximity and it stalling near Central Florida, some areas could see a few spotty showers.

The best rain chances will be for inland Broward County, Palm Beach County and the Lake Okeechobee area.  However, all of South Florida is within the boundaries for a couple of showers.

A thunderstorm is possible late in the day.

Highs Saturday afternoon will reach the middle 80s.

Night time temperatures will only drop to the mild lower 70s along the coastal communities with a few upper 60s inland.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 84 degrees.

Warm temperatures in the middle 80s stay around through the middle of next week with a new and stronger front arriving Wednesday.
