Wilson on Fernandez: If Healthy, 'Let Him Go'
With the Marlins falling further and further out of wild-card contention (10 games back now), should the team considering slowing down Jose Fernandez to preserve him for next season?
"No, you just gotta let him go," Preston Wilson said on the Joe Rose Show. "If he's healthy you let him go. Let him pitch however many games are left on the schedule. You don't hold him back, you don't shut him down, you let him go."
As for potential trades if the Marlins become sellers, Wilson thinks Dan Haren and/or Mat Latos could be among those moved.
