MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Keep your umbrellas close by Thursday then pull out the sweaters as a cooler breeze develops Friday.
Saturday morning temperatures will be dropping into the 50s.
Showers and storms that have developed ahead of this cooler breeze continue to move south through the area this afternoon and evening.
Expect periods of heavy rain along with a stronger gust of wind as these storms move through.
Severe weather was a problem to our north today but these storms are not nearly as strong and no severe weather is expected, just periods of heavy rain.
By Friday the cold front will be through the area and be located just south of the Florida Keys.
This will allow for a cooler breeze to develop and keep temperatures in the 60s all day.
With a little sunshine it may warm up a few degrees during the day Friday but it will be fighting a cooler breeze that will continue after sunset.
This will allow temperatures to really drop Friday night and bottom out in the middle 50s Saturday.
An area of low pressure will develop in the Gulf of Mexico and begin to bring moisture back into the area Saturday night and Sunday.
Showers will increase at night and there will be periods of rain throughout the day Sunday. With the front to the south temperatures will remain cool and with the rain could be considered chilly at times.
Monday will see the return of sunshine but the cooler breeze will still be here keeping temperatures in the 60s.
