MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A wet start to the weekend as scattered showers soaked most of South Florida Friday morning.

Afternoon highs will warm to the upper 70s. Winds will be increasing out of the Northeast 16 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Due to the windy weather, hazardous marine conditions last through the weekend along with a dangerous high risk of rip currents.

The warm up continues Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low 80s and showers around due to a warm front lifting across the area and plenty of moisture. Early next week we'll be even warmer ahead of a stronger cold front on the way. By midweek highs will be around 80 degrees before cooling to the low 70s by Thanksgiving.
