Wannstedt on Orange Bowl: 'There Was Not a Better Place to Play' Big Games

When Dave Wannstedt coached the Canes or Dolphins did he ever wonder where all the fans were?

"Let me say this," Wannstedt said on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz. "When we played Notre Dame, and we played Oklahoma, and when we played Florida State, there was not a better place to play than in the Orange Bowl. You couldn't hear yourself think. I mean I was always in the press box and I remember there was a few times, the fans were getting after it in such an intense way -- the Miami fans -- that I could feel the press box actually moving, rocking back and forth.

"So it's kind of an event town. You see it at Heat games. I remember going to some Heat games. Pat Riley and I were friends down there, it's kind of a fashion show, a who's who."
