MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is making a stop in South Florida this week.

The vice president is set to travel to Miami and deliver remarks at the Science Center in Miami Dade College on Wednesday.

Biden will discuss the importance of helping Americans go to college. He will also emphasize the role that partnerships between community colleges and employers play in helping Americans obtain the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.

The next day, the vice president is scheduled to meet with Jewish community leaders in Miami and discuss the nuclear deal reached with Iran.

In response to the news of his visit, U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23) issued a statement last week saying in part, "I'm looking forward to the Vice President's trip to South Florida next week. There are a number of questions and concerns that I have, along with my constituents and community leaders, about the agreement negotiated with the P5+1 nations and Iran, and given his extensive experience in the foreign policy arena and his intimate knowledge of the negotiations, I believe Vice President Biden can be an effective representative to respond to those questions."
